Creed is a rock band that was formed in Tallahassee, Florida in 1993. The band consists of members Scott Stapp (lead vocals), Mark Tremonti (guitar, backing vocals), Brian Marshall (bass), and Scott Phillips (drums). Creed gained commercial success in the late 1990s and early 2000s with their debut album "My Own Prison" released in 1997. The album included hit singles such as "My Own Prison," "What's This Life For," and "One." Their second album, "Human Clay" released in 1999, brought them mainstream success with chart-topping singles like "Higher," "With Arms Wide Open," and "What If." The band's musical style is often described as post-grunge, with influences from alternative rock and hard rock genres. Creed's music combines heavy guitar riffs with introspective lyrics and powerful vocals. Their songs often touch upon themes of spirituality, redemption, and personal struggles.Despite their initial success, Creed faced internal conflicts within the band which led to a hiatus in 2004.
